DEV-1387-UPDATE- Visual ReCAPTCHA Option on Admin and Bidder Login/Account Password Reset
reCAPTCHA has been implemented across all areas where emails can be triggered by bidders or admins.
Following the internal issue we experienced on July 14th–15th, when our email system was targeted by a bot, we made the necessary decision to re-enable reCAPTCHA. This time, we implemented a visual version that requires bidders and admins to manually check the box before proceeding.
This update helps protect our system and ensures the continued reliability of automated email delivery to bidders.
You’ll now see a checkbox labeled “I am not a robot” when performing actions such as logging into a bidder account, resetting a password, starting the registration process, or logging in as an admin. Once the box is checked, you’ll be able to proceed. If you do not check the box and attempt to proceed, you will be told to check the box to proceed.
Please see the video below for a quick walkthrough.
DEV-1331-Create Lot Re-Sequencing Modal
To create a more seamless experience when reordering Lots after alternate sort numbers have been assigned, a "Re-sequence Lot #" button has been added to the "Lots Cataloging" tab in the NextLot Admin Catalog page. This feature is available only when the Run Order is set to "Alt Sort #," not "Lot #." Please see the video below for a walkthrough on how to access and use this feature.
Note: When the Run Order is set to "Alt Sort #", the system will automatically re-sequence the Lots from the lowest to highest alternate sort number.
For example, if no other Lots have an alternate sort number assigned and you assign Lot 3 an alternate sort number of 2, it will appear first in the run order since it has the lowest value.
You may notice that the Lot numbers appear out of order. To correct this, use the "Re-sequence Lot #" button and choose the starting number for the sequence.
Note: The first Lot does not need to start at number one.
Please see the example below.
Please note that when editing the alternate sort number of a Lot in the modal, only one Lot can be updated at a time. This is to help prevent confusion and minimize errors. After making an edit, the Lot will briefly flash yellow to indicate the change has been applied.
Please see the video below for a demonstration.
Auction Admin Update: Lot Search Feature-"Match Search" Feature
The Lot Search feature has been enhanced to provide improved functionality and a more efficient experience when locating and modifying Lots within a particular auction.
Before:
Previously, you could access the Lot Search feature by clicking on the auction title or selecting the "Lots" button on the right-hand side of the admin screen. Once in the Lots view, the search bar appeared at the top center of the screen.
As you began typing a Lot name or number, up to 50 matching results would display in a dropdown menu. Each result showed two numbers: the Lot number and, if applicable, the Alternate Sort number, followed by the Lot name. Clicking on a result would take you directly to that Lot in the list, which would be highlighted in gray. The search bar would then update to show the selected Lot’s name.
Please see the video below for a visual demonstration.
Now:
You can still access the Lot Search feature by clicking on the auction title or selecting the "Lots" button on the right-hand side of the admin screen—just be sure you're under the "Lots Cataloging" tab. Once there, the Lot Search bar will appear at the top center of your screen.
To search, begin typing either the specific Lot name or a keyword (e.g., “Case”) into the search bar. Then, either click the magnifying glass icon or press Enter on your keyboard.
Instead of using a dropdown menu, the Match Search feature now filters and displays all Lots that match your keyword directly within the list view, in order. This makes it easier to quickly locate, access, and edit the relevant Lots.
Please refer to the video below for a walkthrough of the updated functionality.
