*Internal* System Release Notes August 20, 2026

UPDATE – Faster Downloads for Bidder Invoices & Seller Settlements

The download speed for ZIP files containing Bidder Invoices and Seller Settlements has been improved. These ZIP files should now download approximately 4x faster than before, making it quicker and more efficient to download multiple invoices or settlements at once.

UPDATE – SMS Marketing: Auction Notification Throttling

To help prevent bidders from receiving too many text messages from auction houses that have multiple auctions closing on the same day, a new throttle has been added to SMS Marketing auction notifications.

A bidder will now receive a maximum of one SMS Marketing auction notification per calendar day (12:00 AM–11:59 PM).

How It Works

If multiple auctions would normally trigger an SMS Marketing notification on the same day, the system will only send the notification for the auction that was created first. This can be identified by the auction's ID—the auction with the lower Auction ID was created first. For example, in the below example, the Webcast AMI test auction would be the auction that receives the message because its auction ID is lower because it was created before that of the Webcast Smoke Test 8/18/2026 auction.

Example:

An auction house has three webcasts scheduled for August 15:

  • Live Webcast – 1:00 PM ET
  • Live Webcast – 3:30 PM ET
  • Live Webcast – 5:30 PM ET

If the first auction triggers its SMS notification on August 12 at 1:00 PM ET, that will be the bidder's one SMS Marketing auction notification for that calendar day. The notifications that would have been triggered later that day for the other two auctions will not be sent.

Important: The throttle does not delay or reschedule the additional messages. Once a bidder has received one SMS Marketing auction notification that day, any additional sms marketing auction notifications triggered during that same calendar day will be skipped. Any notif:auctions (for auctions in which a bidder has requested to bid) or outbid sms notifications are on a different thread and will NOT be skipped.
